Welcome to Term 3

We have been to Scienceworks!

There is nothing like taking an entire Prep - Year 2 group of thoroughly excited children to Scienceworks........all the way to Williamstown.

Many of the children thoroughly enjoyed attempting to work the "digger" to collect as many balls as they could. This was much harder than we thought.

Nitty Gritty Super City was definitely a hit with all the children. They were able to mimic a building site using wheelbarrows, pulley systems and conveyor belts to move foam bricks. It appears we have some budding carpenters, please contact us if anyone is looking at extending or renovating their family home. I'm sure we can help you out.

This is a replica of the City of Melbourne. The children were able to press a button and the landmark would light up. The children agreed there would have been many hours of work put into arranging this piece of Art.

Inquiry Term 3

We are looking at our Indigenous and Torres Strait Islander heritage this term.
We explored painting the Indigenous flag on our hands and pressing it onto paper.
We made such a mess......but don't they look fabulous!

A reminder to parents that we are about to commence our class piece for the Art Show.
If you have a hammer your child borrow for these sessions please label it with your family name and hand it to one of the teachers. We will let you know when they can be collected from the teachers for return.

Thanking you in advance.
